CAIRO – 8 January 2018: Borussia Dortmund’s striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is now set to join the Chinese side.

According to Sina Sports, a leading Chinese digital sports media platform, negotiations have already advanced between the German club and Guangzhou Evergrande, the Chinese club.

Last summer, Tianjin Quanjian, another Chinese club, tried to sign the Gabonese striker but the negotiations did not go well.

Tianjin was coached last season by the Italian legend, Fabio Cannavaro, who again showed his interest to retry signing the African, although this time with his current club, Guangzhou Evergrande.

Guangzhou Evergrande prepared an offer for Aubameyang, which may be up to £72 million, meeting one of Cannavaro’s demands.

Aubameyang, 28, understands that his time in Germany has already reached its end, as he recently made a few statements where he opened the door for the Spanish giant Atlético Madrid to sign him, should Atletico’s striker Antoine Griezmann leave the Spanish team.
