CAIRO – 22 December 2017: Real Madrid hosts Barcelona on Saturday in the Spanish League game known as El Clasico. It is one of the toughest games in the season with millions of football fans watching some of the best players in the world to compete against each other.

Barcelona fans did not imagine at the beginning of the season that they will enter this game with an 11 point lead ahead of their Spanish League rival Real Madrid which humiliated them in the Spanish Super Cup, defeating Barcelona 3-1 at Barcelona’s stadium Camp Nou and 2-0 in Madrid.

Barcelona experienced a major shock in the pre-season when they lost their Brazilian star Neymar Jr. Da Silva to Paris Saint-Germain and they signed Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortnund but he suffered a long term injury after only three games.

Barcelona had an unexpected run under their manager Ernesto Valverde as the team is without a loss in all competitions.

Atletico Madrid fans will have mixed emotions during the 90 minutes as their team places second in the Spanish League table with six points behind the leader Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid fans hope their local rival Real Madrid will stop Barcelona’s run in the league but on the other hand they do not want to see their rivals celebrating in the streets.

Barcelona’s potential victory over Real Madrid in front of their fans will give them more confidence and with Dembele’s return in January they could transform into an unstoppable force.
