CAIRO – 18 December 2017: Liverpool’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, believes that the season he spent at Chelsea had many benefits for him.

"It was a big step in my career and I had a good relationship with the players there, and you could see that when we played them at Anfield recently,” Salah told Liverpool official website.

Salah, 25, joined Chelsea in 2014 from Swiss club Basel and he stayed there for one year before leaving to join Fiorentina in Italy.

Liverpool wanted to sign Salah when he was at Basel, but Salah preferred to join Chelsea. Salah spoke about Liverpool’s offer, saying, “There was interest from Liverpool when I went to Chelsea, but I think if I'd come at that time, maybe things wouldn't have maybe gone as well then as they have for me now.”

Salah spent six months with Italy’s Fiorentina before signing for AS Roma, where he played for two years.

Salah hopes to win the Premier League title with Liverpool. He said, “As a team, I know we haven't won the Premier League for a long time, so I would love to win it with Liverpool. We have a great team, we have a great manager, so everything is good at the club and I am sure we can win trophies here together."
