CAIRO - 15 December 2017: Crystal Palace Belgian striker, Christian Benteke, failed to score any goal for his team this season. Benteke's form became a real concern for his manager, Roy Hudgson.

“Of course, when your front player, the man who is a pivotal focal point in your attack, and he is not scoring it's a concern. It's a concern to him, it's a concern to us and it's a concern to fans,” Hodgson told press on Thursday.

Benteke asked his teammate, Luka Milivojevic, who is Palace’s first choice in penalties to shoot their late penalty on their game against Bournemouth on Saturday, and he missed it to end the game with a 2-2 draw.

Hodgson asked his striker to keep calm to overcome the difficult situation. He said, “He can do nothing more than keep working at it, keep working very, very hard. If the goals aren't coming he needs to be making certain he's making a good contribution to the team's play, both in terms of our attacking and our defensive play.”

Crystal palace scored only 12 goals this season after 17 fixtures in the Premier League. They share the 19th place with West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion.
