CAIRO – 11 December 2017: Borussia Dormund sacked their manager Peter Bosz after they got defeated by Werder Bremen 1-2 in the German league (Bundesliga).

Dortmund suffered since the end of September, especially after Bayern Munich appointed Jupp Heynckes as a manager, and this decision was expected weeks ago.

Peter Bosz was appointed on June 2017 as a substitute for Thomas Tuchel.
Bosz was Ajax`s manager last season and he succeeded to reach the Europa League and he was the second in the Dutch league (Eredivisie) behind Feyenoord.

After achieving six victories and a draw in the first seven games in the Bundesliga, with 21 goals scored and only 2 conceded, his Bundesliga start was outstanding, but he suffered in the Champions League when he lost to Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
Dortmund placed third in their group of the Champions League to play the next round in the UEFA Europa League.

Hours after Saturday's defeat against Werder Bremen, Borussia`s officials decided his dismissal and agreed to assign Peter Stöger as a manager until end of the season.

The Austrian coach, 51, was fired on December 3 by Cologne, after drawing against Schalke 04 and placed in the last position in the German league`s table.
