CAIRO – 22 November 2017 : Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu offered Barcelona’s medical team to Sevilla on Wednesday to help in the treatment process of their manager, Eduardo Berizzo.

Sevilla announced on Wednesday morning that Berizzo is diagnosed with prostatic adenocarcinoma.

“The president of Barcelona has called me offering all the experience of the medical team of his club,” Sevilla’s president, José Castro, told the club’s radio program on Wednesday, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona’s medical team has a long experience with these kinds of diseases, as former Barcelona French defender Eric Abidal was diagnosed with a tumor in his liver in 2011 and former Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova was diagnosed with Parotid gland cancer.

Berizzo told Sevilla players during the half time of their game against Liverpool on Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with prostatic adenocarcinoma, and their response came in the second half when they returned from losing 3-0 in the first half to ending the game with a 3-3 draw.
