CAIRO – 2 November 2017 : England manager Gareth Southgate called three new players for England’s two friendly games against Germany and Brazil.

Southgate granted Liverpool’s Joe Gomez, Crystal Palace’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Swansea City’s Tammy Abraham their first call to represent England at the senior level.

Gareth Southgate spoke about the new players, saying, “We know a lot about them and we feel now is a really good chance for us to have a look at them.”

Many big names are dropped from England’s squad, like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Sturridge, Chris Smalling and Jermain Defoe.
England hosts reigning World Cup champions Germany on November 10, followed by Brazil, the nation with the most World Cup titles, four days later.

Southgate’s chosen squad for the friendly games are Tammy Abraham, Dele Alli, Ryan Bertrand, Jack Butland, Gary Cahill, Fabian Delph, Eric Dier, Joe Gomez, Joe Hart, Jordan Henderson, Phil Jones, Harry Kane, Jesse Lingard, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Harry Maguire, Jordan Pickford, Marcus Rashford, Danny Rose, Raheem Sterling, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Jamie Vardy, Kyle Walker, Harry Winks and Ashley Young.
