CAIRO – 3 November 2017: Wales national team manager Chris Coleman called on Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale to participate with the team in friendly games against France and Panama.

“It's true that he's not playing with Madrid yet, but we are open to dialogue with them and will take the situation as they tell us,” Coleman told reporters on Thursday.

Bale has not played for Madrid for more than a month due to an injury.

Coleman added, “He will be training with us because he is at a good level already, and we will send data every day, so that in Madrid they know how Gareth is at all times. With that, if they tell us he can play 10 or 20 minutes, perfect, but if they tell us that he can't play in any way, fine.”

Wales failed to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, as they placed third in the group with 17 points, two points behind Ireland, who qualified to the play-offs, and five points behind Serbia, who qualified to the World Cup.
