CAIRO – 2 November 2017 : Liverpool defeated Slovenian’s Marribor 3-0 on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League group stage. Salah scored Liverpool’s first goal in the game.

Liverpool started the game well through their massive attacking line of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but they couldn’t score a goal in the first half.

In the second half, Salah opened the score for Liverpool in the 49th minute after he deflected Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross to a goal.


Ten minutes later, James Milner missed a penalty for Liverpool, but he returned to give Emre Can a great pass that allowed him to double the score for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah was substituted in the 74th minute with Daniel Sturridge, who scored the third goal for Liverpool in the 85th minute.

After the victory, Liverpool tops the group with eight points, a point ahead of Spain’s Sevilla, who defeated Spartak Moscow 2-1 in Spain.

Liverpool travels on Tuesday, November 21 to Spain to meet Sevilla in the next round of the group stage.
