Egyptian duo occupies fifth place in World Rowing Championship

CAIRO –26 September 2017: Yehia al-Deeb and Omar Amir finished fifth in the world rowing championships in Florida, United States. The fifth place came during the second elimination of the lightweight pair at 07:16.39 minutes.

The tournament saw on Sunday the appointment of Amr Tamraz, adviser to the Development Committee of the International Federation, after being selected by the officials of the Union because of his experience.

It is worth mentioning that Tamraz is the director of sports activities of the association at Sharjah UAE Club. He has also trained several clubs inside and outside Egypt.

This appointment was based on his distinguished sports biography. He holds a master's degree from Oslo’s National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in the field of sports training, physiological sciences and psychological sciences. He also works as a physical training teacher at the Norwegian Police College and a researcher at the Physical Training Center of the Norwegian Armed Forces.
