CAIRO – 25 September 2017: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised the club’s striker, Sergio Aguero. He is two goals away from being the top goal scorer in Manchester City’s history.

“Sergio is in no doubt one of the best strikers in the world. I hope as soon as possible he can achieve that record so at least we stop talking about that. I am pretty sure that in the next game it is going to happen," Guardiola told press on Monday.

Guardiola added, “Last game, again, he scored a goal and had two or three chances more, so that is essential for a striker – that you have (chances).”

Sergio Aguero booked a starting position in Manchester City’s line-up with a stunning performance this season. He scored six goals to share the Premier League “top scorers” with Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata.

Aguero, 29 years old, joined Manchester City in 2011 from Spanish club Atletico Madrid. He managed to score 176 goals in all competitions, including 128 goals in the League, according to Premierleague.com.

It is good to mention that Eric Brook is the current top goal scorer in Manchester City’s history, with 177 goals.
