CAIRO - 11September 2017: Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata won Chelsea fans’ hearts by scoring three goals and providing two assists in his first four games with Chelsea in the Premier League. The fans created a chant for the player which was anti-Semitic and offensive to their local rivals Tottenham Hotspurs.

“Since I arrived, I have been able to feel your support every single day, you are amazing and I'd like to ask you to please respect everyone!” Morata posted on his Twitter account.

The club statement said, “Morata does not want to be connected with this song in anyway and the players and the club ask the fans to stop singing it immediately," according to Marca.com

Chelsea’s rivalry with Tottenham developed in the last few years after the rise of Tottenham and under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.
