29 August 2017: Egyptian national team manager Hector Cuper said that he trusts his players’ ability to win the decisive game against Uganda in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

“We are going to Uganda to win the game and add three more points and strengthen our chances to qualify to the 2018 World Cup,” Cuper said on Monday to ON TV.

Cuper added, “I know Uganda’s team well. We trust our players to return from Uganda with a good result.”

Asked about the players abroad who joined the camp only hours before traveling to Uganda, he answered, “I don’t like it. It worried me a little bit, but they have the skills and enthusiasm to help the team.”

Ahmed Hegazi, Mohamed Elneny, Mahmoud Kahraba, Ramadan Sobhi and Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” joined the Egyptian camp on Monday, while Mohamed Salah and Ahmed Hassan ”Koka” will arrive to the camp on Tuesday.

Egypt will face Uganda on Thursday at the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
