CAIRO – 16 August 2017- Al Ahly defeated Al Masry at the final match of the Egyptian Cup by 2-1 at Borg Al Arab stadium on Tuesday evening.

This is the seventh time Al Ahly has defeated Al Masry in the finals in the history of the competition.

The match ended in a 0-0 draw, forcing the game to overtime. Both teams unleashed a barrage of strikes, resulting in a goal scored by Al Masry’s Abdalla Bika in the 112th minute.

After the goal Al Masry retreated into their half of the pitch until Al Ahly succeeded in scoring an equalizer at the 117th minute of the game by the substitute Amr Gamal from a cross made by Ali Maalol. Al Ahly had another classical goal in the last minutes of the game scored by Ahmed Fathi in the 121st minute of the match.
