CAIRO –10 August 2017: Al Ahly SC announced the signing of Smouha SC’s left back Ayman Ashraf on Thursday, August 10.

Ayman Ashraf returned to his boyhood club Al Ahly SC after playing at Smouha SC from 2013 to 2017. Al Ahly’s new left back signed a 5 year deal following agreeing with Al Ahly official on the financial terms.

Speaking to Al Ahly’s official website, Ayman Ashraf expressed his joy returning to Al Ahly SC.

Ashraf told the club’s website, “I am very happy to return to the club. I preferred joining Al Ahly over staying at Smouha SC or going to Zamalek. I received a lot of phone calls in the last period from Al Ahly manager Hossam El Badry who praised me for my recent performances with Smouha SC.”

Ashraf concluded to the club’s website, “I hope to achieve all of the trophies with Al Ahly SC especially that I was taught when I was young at the club to win every trophy we play. Also, ever since I left the club, I expected that one day I will return and play for Al Ahly SC.”

The 26 year old left back Ayman Ashraf became Al Ahly’s fourth signing with the club previously signing the Moroccan striker Walid Azaro ,Smouha’s former attacking player Islam Mohareb, and Misr Lel Makasa’s former center midfielder Hesham Mohamed.
