Mourinho wants Bale inside his team - Reuters
CAIRO - 8 August 2017: Jose Mourinho, Manchester United manager, spoke before the European Super Cup on Tuesday against Real Madrid about his interest in Real Madrid’s star, Gareth Bale.
“If Bale is at the exit door, I would wait for him on the other side,” Mourinho told reporters.
Manchester United, Europa League winner, faces Real Madrid, Champions League winner, on Tuesday at the European Super Cup in Macedonia.
Mourinho spoke about Bale’s situation with the club, saying, “If Bale plays tomorrow, it's an obvious sign that his plan is to remain at Real Madrid. If he doesn't play, I will fight with others who want to sign him.”
Mourinho answered a question about his relationship with Real Madrid players during his coaching time at Madrid, saying, “My problems in football are always problems that remain in football. With some of the players I have worked with - not only in Real Madrid, but also in Chelsea, Porto, etc. - I maintain relationships, and with others I don't.”
Mourinho managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013.
