CAIRO – 6 August 2017: Zamalek officials are in talks on August 5 to sign England’s former manager Sven-Göran Eriksson as a replacement for their former manager Augusto Inacio.

The last few hours saw Zamalek officials negotiating with Erikson over the possibility of the Swedish coaching Zamalek. It has been reported that the offer presented by Zamalek officials to Eriksson is estimated to be around $1 million a year.

Moreover, Eriksson still did not respond to Zamalek representatives about whether or not he will accept the offer. However, the Swedish hinted that it would be difficult to accept the offer due to him being the manager of Chinese club Shenzhen FC.

Eriksson has a great managerial career, having managed some of the elite national teams and clubs. Eriksson is most known for his management of the England national team from 2001-2006. He also managed some great national teams like Mexico and Ivory Coast along with taking charge of Manchester City in 2007-2008.
