CAIRO – 26 July 2017: Al-Ahly defeated Al-Wahda FC with two goals with no reply in the second round of the group stage of the Arab Championship on Tuesday on Al-Salam stadium in Cairo.

The Egyptian champion Al-Ahly managed to gain its first 3 points in the one-sided game after beating Al Wahda FC from United Arab Emirates with two goals scored by Amr Barakat in the 32nd minute of the game in his first appearance with the red shirt, then the new signing Islam Muhareb added the second goal for Al-Ahly in the 84th minute of the game.

Al-Ahly plays in group A along side with Nasr Hussein Dey, Al Faisaly and Al Wahda FC, the Egyptian premier league champion is now in the second place of group A after it has lost its first game against Al-Faisly with one goal in the first round, while Al-Faisaly leads the group with 6 points after it won in its two matches against Al-Ahly and Nasr Hussein Dey on Tuesday.
