CAIRO – 22 July2017: Five players from the Egyptian national squash team qualified on July 22 for the semi-finals of the Men’s & Women’s World Junior Individuals in Tauranga, New Zealand.

Youssef Ibrahim and Marwan Tarek qualified to the semi-finals of the men’s championship. Youssef Ibrahim managed to beat his American opponent, Andrew Douglas, with a 3-2 score, while Marwan Tarek qualified after beating the Indian champion 3-1.

In the women’s championship, Hania El Hamamy qualified to the semi-finals after beating the Malaysian champion 3-2 . Rawan Reda also won by the same score against Andry Lee. Lastly, Amina Yousry won against Zeina Mekawy with a 3-0 score.

Youssef Ibrahim is set to play against Marwan Tarek in the semi-finals of the tournament. Meanwhile, Hania El Hamamy will go head to head against Japanese champion Satumi Antebi, and Rawan Reda will play against Amina Yousry in the semi-finals.

The tournament is being held in New Zealand from July 19-24.
