Anthony Modeste is set to sign a two-year contract with Al-Ahly

CAIRO, September 11, 2023: The French striker, Anthony Modeste, is set to arrive in Cairo, on Monday, to sign his contract with Al-Ahly Club, after the Red Castle officials have finalized all the details of the deal.

Al-Ahly settled the contract file with the French striker after the player underwent a medical examination during the past hours in Switzerland.

Anthony Modeste's contract with the German club, Borussia Dortmund, expired last July, but he has been training for some time with Fortuna Köln, which plays in the fourth division in Germany, to maintain his physical fitness.

Al-Ahly is scheduled to sign a contract with Anthony Modeste for a period of one season, automatically renewable for another season if the player participates in a specific number of matches and scores number of goals as well.

Al-Ahly officials finalized the agreement with Anthony Modeste to support the Red Giants’ attack during the current summer transfer period, provided that he is registered on the team’s list before the local registration door closes on September 14.

Al-Ahly faces many challenges in the coming period, the first of which is the African Super Cup next Friday in Saudi Arabia against USM Algiers, the African Super League and the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the local tournaments.
