Pique...we want to win everything

CAIRO –13 July 2017: Gerard Pique, Barcelona defender, talked about the new Barcelona season and Barcelona’s new coach, Ernesto Valverde.

"Our philosophy is not only to win; in this club it is important to win and play well, and we also have the players to achieve it. It must be a spectacle, and our fans go to the stadium to enjoy, not to win 1-0 by playing so defensively that it bores the goats," Pique told goal.com.

Pique started playing for Barcelona after two spells in Manchester United and Real Zaragoza.

Asked about Barcelona’s new coach, Valverde, he answered, “Valverde has an established career after working for many La Liga teams.”

Pique added, “He is a coach with character who has always built very powerful teams, as we realized every time we played them.”

Pique talked about the new Barcelona season, revealing their ambitions, saying, “Our goal is to win everything and always win.”
