CAIRO, 1 August 2021: The Egyptian handball national team finished second in the second group of handball competitions at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, with a 30-20 victory over Bahrain.
The Egyptian national team starred in their match, which is a preparation for the quarter-finals, after the Pharaohs secured qualification after defeating Sweden.
Ahmed Al-Ahmar scored 5 goals to enhance his number as the historical goal scorer for Egypt in the Olympics.
Likewise, the Egyptian team prepared its Bahraini brother, to face France in the quarter-finals, after the historic qualification for the quarter-finals.
Egypt won its eighth point in second place behind the Danish team.
As for Bahrain, it secured fourth place with two points.
