CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Malaga announced the signing of a three year contract with Spanish midfielder Adrian Gonzalez from Eibar on Monday. Gonzalez, 29, will play for his father, the current Malaga manager Michel Gonzalez.

“He has always been a source of great personal support for me, although now I will have to view him a little differently,” Adrian told sports website Marca.com after signing his contract.

Adrian talked about his ambition with his new club saying, “For me personally, I will try to better my own numbers from last year and try to help the team in any way I can.”

Adrian had a great season with Eibar, playing 31 matches and scoring nine goals for the club.

Michel, Adrian’s father, is a retired Spanish footballer who also played as a midfielder, spending 14 years with Real Madrid where he won six Spanish League titles.

His son Adrian has played his whole career so far in his native Spain with five Spanish teams - Getafa, Racing Santander, Rayo Vallecano, Elche and Eibar.
