Ahli Tripoli arrives in Egypt for Zamalek game

CAIRO – 4 July 2017: A delegation for the Libyan Ahli Tripoli football team arrived in Egypt at Borg Al Arab airport in Alexandria on Tuesday. They are in preparations for their match against Zamalek in the CAF African Champions League, Zamalek official website reported.

The Libyan delegation consists of 40 members led by Egyptian coach Talaat Youssef. Zamalek’s game in the first leg against Ahli Tripoli ended with a 0-0 draw. Meanwhile, the second leg is scheduled to be played on July 9 at 9 P.M. Cairo local time at Borg Al Arab stadium. The game will be the last of the group stage of African Champions League.

Zamalek has to win in order to qualify for the quarterfinals, and USM Alger has to defeat Caps United FC. Zamalek is fourth in the group with five points, Caps United third with six points, Ahli Tripoli second with eight points, and USM Alger is in the first place with eight points.
