‘Bring Your Iftar and Come’ to Wadi Degla

CAIRO – 9 June 2017: Ministry of Environment organized an iftar at Wadi Degla natural reserve, Friday, with the title ‘Bring Your Iftar and Come’ on the occasion of celebrating World Environment Day.

World Environment Day takes place on the June 5 every year, evidently to raise awareness environment protection. It was first held in 1974, and it was celebrated across 143 countries including Egypt.

Last year the Ministry organized the same event and 500 people attended from young adults, adults, and families, for iftar until sohour.

Wadi Degla nature reserve is located on the outskirts of Maadi. It is the perfect escape for hikers, bikers, rock climbers and natural lovers. It is the place to be to observe phenomenal views from a top of plateaus. The Egyptian Ministry selected Wadi Degla as a protectorate area in 1999.
