CAIRO – 31 August 2017: Red sea reserves are open and free to the public during Eid al-Adha, Director General of the Red Sea reserves Ahmed Ghalab announced on Thursday.

He added that the Honkruab beach at Wadi Al-Jemal reserves were diligently prepared for the Eid visitors, adding that the Red sea’s most renowned islands include Al-Gifton Al-Sagheer and Abu Monqar Island will also be open and ready for ferry trips, allowing the coming visitors to enjoy the sight of dolphins existing in the offshore waters of these islands.

Ghalab confirmed patrol boats are to be launched to stop any potential violations, to ensure the protection of the Red Sea northern islands.

Egypt is currently preparing for the four-day Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) which falls on Friday September 1.
