CAIRO – 6 October 2020: The Heliopolis Association organizes a group of cultural events on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious October War victory, stemming from its enlightening and creative platforms, which are the Heliopolis and Future libraries and the Children's Museum.

Secretary General of the Association Nabil Helmy affirmed the association’s keenness to organize a package of activities that confirm the Egyptians’ ability to overcome difficulties and their ingenuity in converting any defeat into victory, highlighting the important role of the armed forces in bringing the hopes and aspirations of Egyptians to life in the past and after the June 2013 revolution.

For his part, Bahgat Shaker, director general of the Heliopolis Association, explained that the first of these activities will be launched from the Heliopolis Library on Tuesday, through a book fair that deals with all the axes of the October War, preparing for the battle, planning the strategic deception, and crossing the Suez Canal thanks to the ingenuity of the armed forces.

The events continue throughout October. Library-goers can borrow books to learn more about the war of pride and dignity. A 5-meter-long mural of cloth is also designed and children and young people of all ages can use it to express, through their drawings, the pride they take in the Egyptian army.
