CAIRO - 10 February 2020: The video that showed famed star Ahmed Helmy with singer Hassan Shakoush singing the latter's song “Bent el-Geran” is trending on YouTube, amassing over 300,000 views in two days.
Shakoush uploaded the video on his official Instagram account, commenting “Third on trending videos with the famed star Helmy”.

In previous statements to the press, Shakoush stated that he dedicates his popular song “Bent el-Geran” (Neighbour’s Daughter) to popular actress Mona Zaki, expressing his admiration of her and her acting talent. Shakoush also expressed his happiness when Zaki replied back to the story where he mentioned his admiration for her, commenting: “Thank you so much I also admire your talent and songs.”
The song "Bent el-Geran" performed by Hassan Shakoush, along with a number of other singers, has achieved great success. It has become widely popular among young people, and it is specially requested in weddings, events and parties. The song amassed more than 63 million views on YouTube.
“Bent el-Geran” also surpassed other international songs of world-stars on SoundCloud, landing in the second place as the most heard song, with more than 45 million listeners.
