CAIRO – 18 June 2017: Sylvester Stallone and Jackie Chan are teaming up to film an action thriller movie named “Ex-Baghdad” in the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi. The film revolves around two police officers, played by Chan and Stallone, who rescue civilians during the Iraq war.

No dates have yet been set for the filming, however it is expected they will start by September.

In recent years, Abu Dhabi has been home to many blockbuster films, such as “Star Wars: the Force Awakens” starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley. “Furious 7”starring Vin Diesel was also partially shot in Abu Dhabi, as was “War Machine” starring Brad Pitt, Anthony Michael Hal and Anthony Hayes.

Stallone recently lent his voice to the American-Spanish 3D computer animated fantasy film “Animal Crackers.” The Film’s first screening was at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 12, 2017.
