CAIRO –7 June 2019: Over the years, and for extended centuries, many generations have wasted lives and souls in battles and wars over a hidden treasure. And no one was able to reveal the secrets behind that treasure.

This is the story as recounted by famed Egyptian director Sherif Arafa in the first part of "Al Kenz", revealing untold chapters from the history of Egypt. The second part of the film will be released soon.

On the films official Facebook page, United Bros. Studios posted a 4-minute recap video, featuring the highlights of the first part, for the first time in Egypt and the Arab world, following the steps of Hollywood's largest production companies such as Marvel Studios and DC that release recap videos for the previous parts of their film productions.

The video features the events of the film, which take place in four different ages: the Pharaonic era of Queen Hatshepsut, the Mamluk era of Ali Al-Zibq, the forties with the story of Bashir Pasha, and finally the mid-seventies with the story of Hassan, the son of Bashir Pasha who sets out in a journey in search for the treasure left behind by his father.

In the story of Queen Hatshepsut, the video focuses on the queen's struggle with the priests to take over the throne of Egypt, and sheds light on the love of her life engineer/artist Senenmut and the priests' attempt to end her life and her brother's life.

In the story of Ali Al-Zibq, the video recounts Ali's journey to avenge his murdered father, Ras Al-Ghoul, as he emigrated to Egypt with his mother to begin his struggle with El Kalby and the father of his beloved Zainab.

The story of Bashir Pasha leads us to his son Hassan, the treasure hunter. It recounts Bashir's own story as a police officer who casts his brother in prison to ensure his promotion until he reaches the post of a political speaker responsible for suppressing any revolutionary voice or movement.

His love for the singer Nemaat brings King Farouk's indignation.

Hassan searches in all these stories without finding any link between them, and temporarily holds off on selling his father's house, despite the pressure from the Al-Assis, who insists on buying it.

Directed and written by Sherif Arafa, "Al Kenz II" is screen-written by Abdel Rahim Kamal, and features an all-star cast, including the stars of "Al Kenz I"; Mohamed Saad, Mohamed Ramadan, Hend Sabry, Ahmed Rizk, Haitham Ahmed Zaki, Ruby, Amina Khalil, Sawsan Badr, Hany Adel, Ahmed Malek, Abbas Aboelhassan, Abdulaziz Makhyoon, Mohy Ismaiel, Ahmed Hatem, and Sara Abdel Rahman.

"Al KenzI" was a huge success in the box office and won eight awards at the Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival, Egyptian National Film Festival and the Arabian Cinema Awards (ACA).
