CAIRO - 27 May 2019: The Theater’s House performances resume from May 26 until the end of the holy month. Preparations are underway for the theater season and a number of performances will take place.

Also, the private sector is competing with more than a theatrical work during the upcoming theater season.

On Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria, the "40 rules of love" play will continue today and tomorrow, May 26-27. The play is based on the novel "The 40 rules of love" by writer Elif Shafak, and other sources. Dramaturge and writing supervision is made by Rasha Abdel Moneim. The play is re-written by Yasmin Imam and Khairi Al Fakhrani.

“40 rules of love” is starring Bahaa Tharwat, Fawzia, Ezzat Zein, Dina Ahmed, Hani Abdel Hay, Ehab Bakir, artist Samar El Shazly, the vocalist Samir Azmy, with the participation of the Arab Moulouya band, directed by Adel Hassan.

The play "The Ring and the Bracelet" is performed on Al-Salam Theater on Al-Qasr Al-Aini Street daily -except Saturday- at 9 p.m. The play depicts the suffering of poor families in Upper Egypt. The play is written by Yahya al-Tahir Abdullah and stars Fatima Mohamed Ali, Mahmoud el- Zayat, Martina Adel, Ahmed Tarek, Ashraf Shoukry, Sherif el-Qazzaz, Shabrawy Mohamed, Mohamed Hassib, Sara Adel, Iman Hussein, Farah Hatem, and Nael Ali. The play's music is composed by Gamal Rashad; "The Ring and the Bracelet" is directed by Nasser Abdel Moneim.

Moreover, “As If you See him” will stage on Al-Talea Theater in Attaba at 9:30 p.m. The play is written by Nesma Samir, music and compositions by Mohamed Ezzat, decor and clothes by May Nabil, poetry by Mohamed Bahgat. “As If you See him” is directed by Maher Mahmoud.

“Set el-Donia” will stage at the International Garden starting May 26. The show is produced by Al-Shams special needs group and is the result of the rhythmic dance workshop of the group. The show is written by Bilal Imam, and stars Ahmed Desouki, Mahmoud Said, Haitham Hassan and Mariam Nasr.

For Children, "El Leila el-Kebera” (The big night) play will resume on the Hanager Theatre in Cairo Opera House daily for two weeks as part of "Hal Hilak" activities organized by the Cultural Production Sector. The play is starring the Cairo Puppet Theater stars, lyrics by Salah Jahin, music by Sayed Makawi, decor by Mostafa Kamel, and puppets by Nagy Shaker. The play is directed by Salah el-Sakka.
