CAIRO –29 May 2017: Huaisheng Mosque named the light tower Mosque or the lighthouse Mosque, which is the oldest Mosque in China prepares meals for Fetar and Suhoor during Ramadan. According to the Chinese cultural centre, Huaisheng will host more local Muslims and expatriates from other parts of the country, and from all over the world, especially Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Huaisheng Mosque which is located in Guangzhou city and the Famous Arab traveler Ibn Battuta described it by Madinet el-Zaytoun (The Olive city) that witnessed Arab-Chinese exchanges since the Tang Dynasty. It was built in 1009, during the Song Dynasty. Currently, the mosque is considered the oldest mosque in China.

Huaisheng was built from stones, like Damascus Mosques. The Mosque is 2184 meters. The gate arch, prayer square and Mingshan base are still in a good condition till now. The mosque is an important archaeological site that witnesses the foreign exchange history of Quanzhou City.

There are currently about 20 million Muslims in China. The Muslims received the holy month of Ramadan by performing their rituals, fasting and performing Taraweeh prayers.
