CAIRO – 24 October 2018: Minister of Culture, Inas Abdel Dayem, inaugurated on Tuesday, Oct. 23the fourth edition of the Arabic Calligraphy Arts Forum, organized by the Cultural Development Fund sector at the Opera House’s Palace of Arts.

The Cultural Development Fund sector organized this forumin cooperation with the fine arts sector, Cairo Opera House, foreign cultural relations sectorand the Syndicate of Calligraphers.

China is theguest honor for the first time at the Arabic Calligraphy Arts Forum, presenting Arabic calligraphy in various forms and styles.

The forum has been attended by 48 foreign artists from 23 foreign and Arab countries, including Morocco, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina,Syria, Thailand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, 56 Egyptian artists will participate in the forum.

In the same context, the forum will honor threecalligraphy artists; twoEgyptians and one Arab calligrapher.

The annual forum for calligraphy held its third edition in 2017 in Luxor, presenting 120 artworks of Arabic calligraphy. Participants camefrom 21 Arab and foreign countries.
