CAIRO – 22 September 2018: Samaa International Festival for religious choir and music starts its 11th edition on Saturday at 8 p.m. on Be’r Yossef Theatre, Salahudden Citadel.

Inas abd El-Dayem, minister of culture, will be present in the opening among other pioneers in the cultural fields and ambassadors of the participating countries.

The festival is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Antiquities and Cairo Governorate in coordination with Hewar institution.

The festival’s opening coincides with International Day for Peace, in which all the festival’s ensembles will participate in the first international workshop led by Intesar Abd El-Fattah, the festival’s head and founder.

Abd el-Fattah composes a magnificent artistic dialogue by which all of the world’s cultures send a harmonic message of peace and humane connection.

The festival collects a variety of ensembles and artists from Arab countries as well as Asian, African and European countries. The “Religions Forum” celebration also kicks off its fourth version under the motto “We pray here together”, with candles in Historical Religious Complex, Misr Al-Qadima on Sept. 27. In a universal service, the participating countries share a prayer with the audience from all Christian sects including Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelic.
