CAIRO – 20 August 2018: The Egyptian Project band is currently undergoing preparations for their first musical concert for Eid El-Adha (Muslim celebrations). The concert will be hosted by Cairo Jazz Club in Agouza district, on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 10 p.m.

The group will perform Sufi songs and recitals. They present a fusion of the Electroacoustic and oriental music.


The band's members are:

- Ragab Sadek: dof, sagat, rek, darbouka, dhola
- Salama Metwally: violin, rababa
- Jérôme Ettinger: arghul, computer, vocal, dof
- Anthony Bondu: drums
- Antoine Carrique: FOH engineer
- Karl Archambaud: light designer
- Vincent Louvet: monitor engineer

The Egyptian Project originates from Nantes (France) and Cairo. The group owns Six Degrees Record Label. They released their album "Ya Ama"” (Beauty) on Oct. 2012 in North America, and Mar. 2013 in France, via the group’s record label. The album featured a blend of the Egyptian melodies, rhythms and voices with European electronic beats and textures.

The group achieved success in previous hits such as “Mnen Agebak” (Can’t Find You), “Sofy”, “Sakani el-Gharam Kasan” (I am deep in Love) and others. The band also performed the introductory soundtrack for the TV series “Fok el-Sehab” (Above the Clouds) starring Hani Salama and directed by Raouf Abdel Aziz.
