4DX Theatre experience for the first time in Egypt

CAIRO – 8 June 2018: Iraqi Director Yasir al-Yasiri along with producer Saif Orabi is going to be the first to ever bring the 4DX Theatre experience in Egypt through the action-thriller film “122”, according to Hollywood Reporter magazine.

Numerous Egyptian talents are going to perform in the much anticipated film.
Producer Orabi revealed to the Hollywood Reporter many details regarding the much awaited film.

In the article, Orabi stated that the film revolves mainly around the survival of a couple, that felt endangered in a place in which they are supposed to feel safe, encountering a bloody night, in which they simultaneously try to flee for their life and not go to a hospital.

Orabi added that the couple is simply just trying to survive the night. According to the producer, stars Tarek Lotfy, Amina Khalil and controversial actor Ahmed al-Fishawy along with guest stars Mohamed Mamdouh and Mohammed Lotfy are all taking part in the much awaited film. The writer of the movie is Salah El Gehiny.

Orabi further revealed that bringing this new technology for the first time in Egypt is going to add massively to the experience the fans are going to enjoy in the movie theatres using the 4DX format.

This is because sensory advancements are going to be included in the theatres that will implement the 4DX format, enhancing the overall movie experience for the audience, allowing them to feel the effects of the movie, such as wind, rain, vibration, lightning and scents much stronger, giving the audience a that they are actually “living” what they see on the screen, allowing them to be deeply immersed in the movie.

Bringing this technology in the Arab Film Industry for the first time is going to enhance the overall movie-going experience for the audience.The 4DX format is now available in Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon and the UAE.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, this is the first time a director of Iraqi descent joins the Egyptian film industry in 73 years.The magazine shed light on the first Iraqi-Egyptian joint production “Ibn El Sharq” (Son of the Orient) that was directed by Ibrahim Helmy.
“122” is going to be the second film featured by al-Yasiri.

Al-Yasiri’s first featured film “Borrowed Time”, an Emirati production that consisted of several talents across the entire Arab world, made it to the Palm Springs International Film Festival last January.

The movie won the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Narrative at the St. Paul International Film Festival in Minneapolis. Last but not least, Orabi established his production house “Maqam Production” that was successful in making numerous successful thriller films, such as “El Haram el-Rabe’” (The Fourth Pyramid) in 2016 along with “Monkey Talks”. The above mentioned films topped the Box office in Egypt in 2016/2017.
