CAIRO – 28 November 2017: Cairo International Film Festival management announced that the famous American actors Nicolas Cage, Hilary Swank and Adrien Brody will be the guests of the festival’s closing ceremony scheduled to take place on November 30.

The three American stars insisted to participate in the festival despite the abhorrent terrorist attack on Al-Rawdah Mosque in North Sinai that took place on November 24.

"The three renowned actors were keen to come and show their solidarity with the Egyptians against terrorism" recounted Youssef Rizkallah the festival’s artistic director.

Hisham Soliman the chairman of DMC channels and the festival’s main sponsor stated that the message of the closing ceremony will be that Egypt will never ever break, terrorism will not defeat Egyptians, and Egypt’s soft powers including cinema play a vital role in combating terrorism.

The renowned English actress Elizabeth Hurley was the festival’s opening ceremony guest.
