CAIRO – 21 October 2017: Theater performance Qawaed Eleshq 40 (40 Rules of Love) will be displayed in Bahrain on Sunday as part of the ongoing International Bahrain Festival for Music.
Performed by the Modern Theater troupe, the play is based on the novel Elif Shafak. The musical play was directed by Adel Hassan. Earlier this year the play was showing at the Peace Theater (Masrah El Salam) and made almost LE 1 million ($56,484) in two months.

40 Rules of Love is about a 40-year- old woman, Ella, who is in an unhappy marriage. She becomes a reader for a literary manager and from there discovers the dynamic world of books, literature, and poetry which ultimately changes her life.

Director of The Theater House, Ismail Mokhtar, has highlighted the importance of the participation of the play in the festival, according to a statement on Egynews.

The play has been performing for more than 100 nights in Cairo, and has made more than LE 1 million in revenues.
