Fatma Adel to perform at Oufuqy Music Forum

CAIRO – 20 October 2017: Singer Fatma Adel will perform a concert at the 6th Oufuqy Music Forum on October 20 from 7-8 p.m. at Jesuits Cultural Center in Alexandria.

Adel is an Egyptian singer and actor who founded her band, which is mainly dedicated to revive old and folk songs. It has also showed great interest in the adaptation of old monologues as an attempt of reserving the musical heritage and as a way of forming a new memory to pass on from one generation to the next.

The 6th Oufuqy Music Forum will kick off on October 16 and will end on October 26.
The forum aims to combine music within everyday activities.

It organises various music events, including concerts, discussions, seminars and film screenings.

The forum is named “Oufuqy” because it follows the horizontal approach to give the audience the opportunity to integrate the festival into their daily activities, according to Oufuqy Music Forum’s official Facebook page.
