‘Lady Macbeth’ screening at Balcon Heliopolis Sept. 15

CAIRO - 13 September 2017: Award-winning film, “Lady Macbeth” is screening at Balcon Heliopolis on September 15.

The film is set in 19thcentury rural England. The plotline portrays a young woman in a loveless marriage who has an affair with one of the workers in her property.

Directed by William Oldrayd, the British film is an adaptation of the novel “Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District” written by Nikolai Leskov.

Starring Florence Pugh, Cosmo Jarvis, and Paul Hilton, “Lady Macbeth” has won several awards, including Best Actress at Dublin International Film Festival 2017, the Cineuropa Award at Les Arcs European Film Festival 2016, and the FIPRESCI Prize at Thessaloniki Film Festival 2016, among others.
