Renowned filmmaker Ali Badrakhan to conduct filmmaking workshops

CAIRO- 30 August 2017: Calibre and Badrkhan Film Academy are hosting a filmmaking/ acting workshops conducted by award winning director Ali Badrakhan after Eid El Adha holidays.

The film making workshop is a 6 months course where students will learn the four main principles of film making: directing, editing, screenplay and videography, according to the event’s official Facebook page.

Students will be granted a membership in the Syndicate of Film Careers after presenting their graduation project in front of a jury from the syndicate.

As for the acting workshop, the course will last for 3 months. It will include preparing actors for cinema and video, how to act in front of the camera and shooting a video for their graduation project. The course will be conducted alongside Egyptian actor Hany Taher.

Badrakhan was married to the iconic Egyptian Actress Sou’ad Hosney where he worked alongside her and directed many of her most famous films including ‘Al Karnak’ (The Karnak), ‘Shafiqa wa Metwally’ ( Shafiqa and Metwally) and ‘al-Hobb al-lazee Kann’ (The Love that Was) and ‘al-Raee’ wa al-Nisaa’ (The Shepherd and the Women).
