CAIRO - 23 August 2017: Culture Ministry is organizing a number of cultural events in its different sectors directed by Culture Minister Helmy al-Namnam.

Salah El Din Citadel Festival

Two concerts will be held at Salah El Din Festival as part of Salah El Din Citadel Summer Festival directed by Cairo Opera House.

El Mawlaweya El Masriya (Egyptian Wailers) will perform at 8 p.m. and it will be followed by a performance of the legendary Arabic singer Nadia Moustafa at 10 p.m.
House of Egyptian Architecture.

The Cultural Development Fund is organizing a seminar in the House of Egyptian Architecture at 6 p.m.

The Seminar is headed by the pioneer architect Essam Safei El Din, entitled “The Concept of Understanding Heritage Positively.”

General Authority of Cultural Palaces

Qusier Cultural Palace will host a seminar about drama and its social reform role in the society at 6 p.m.

The seminar will be followed by a number of drama workshops for children to enhance their creativity.

While, Halayeb Cultural Palace will organize a seminar on drama chaired by Samir Abdo Ali Gobran; it will tackle the cultural importance of drama.

El Salam Theatre

Theatre House is continuing introducing ‘El Hafla El Tanakoriya’ (The Fancy Dress Party) play on El Salam Theatre at 9 p.m. The play is directed by Hisham Gomaa. It is an adaptation of one of Alberto Moravia’s texts.

The play discusses a number of political issues and the tyrannical political regimes in the world.

It is starred by Mohamed Reyad and Lekaa Swedan.

It was performed for the first time on August 19 at El Salam Theatre.

El Taleeaa’ Theatre

The theatrical play ‘The Day Singing Was Killed’ (Yawm an Kataloh El Ghenaa’) will be performed on Zaki Tolaymat Hall at 7:30.

It is a musical that tackles universal issues such as cosmic philosophy, the conflict between good and evil, and a number of inner individualistic conflicts, as well.

It is characterized by a number of live songs and dance performances.

It was written by Mahmoud Gamal and directed by Tamer Karam.

‘As If You See Him’ (Kaanak Tarah) theatre play is continuing at El Taleeaa’ theatre.
The musical contains a number of poetic dialogues. It narrates the life story of Prophet Mohamed in a modern artistic form.

The show is directed by Maher Mahmoud and scripted by Nessma Samir.
It is starred by a number of rising theatre talents such as Mohamed Younis and Maher Mahmoud.

Miami Theatre

‘Asal El Asal’ play will be performed on Miami theatre at 9:30. The play is a comic one and it is directed by Emiel Shawky and re-scripted by Samir El Asfoury. The poems of the play are selections of Beram El Tounsy’s and the songs are performed by Lotfy Boushnaq.

It is starred by Sahar Ramy and Hesham El Meliegy.

Cairo Puppet Theatre

‘When Sahsah Succeeds’ (Sahsah Lama Yengah) will be performed today at Cairo Puppet theatre at 6:30 p.m.

Beram El Tounsy Theatre/ Alexandria

The comic play ‘This Pyramid is Mine’ (El Haram Dah Betaay) will be performed at Beram El Tounsy Theatre in Alexandria at 10 p.m.

The play talks about an unemployed man who seeks to invent a happiness gas. He was also searching for his grandfather’s treasure, when he found out that the Pyramid is his. So, he is involved in a number of conflicts to proof his rights.

It is starred by Maha Ahmed and Medhat Tekha, and directed by Yasser Sadek.

The International Book Center

The center will host a seminar on Universal Children Literature at 6 p.m. This is part of the Center’s Universal Children Literature seminar series.
