CAIRO – 23 July 2017: The plays entitled ‘The Room,’ ‘I,’ ‘Who built Egypt,’ ‘Sea is smiling at me,’ ‘Loss’ and ‘The Forty rules of love’ participate on day 11 of the 10th Egyptian National Theatre Festival on Sunday, July 23.

The policy of Toon band will perform ‘The Room’ play written by Mahmoud Gamal and directed by Mohamed Zaki on Metropole theatre at 6:00 p.m. The show focuses on the idea of washing brains and the absence of reality to the people who sell their organs happily to the center of organ trade.

On the other hand, Miami theatre will stage ‘I’ play written by Lenin el-Ramly and performed by the band of InterContinental Hotel, City Stars, at 8:00 p.m.

‘Who built Egypt’ performed by the band of Bank Misr and written by Dr. Hassan Moselhy will be staged on Cairo Puppet Theatre at 6:00 p.m. Through the vision of contemporary drama, it shows people how to search for their real abilities in order to find their way out of the painful reality and into freedom through fantasy events of the play.

In addition, the band of The Creative Freedom Center for Creativity, Alexandria, will
perform ‘Sea is smiling at you’ on the theatre of Artistic Creativity Center inside Cairo Opera House on Sunday and Monday at 6:00 p.m. The play tells the story of some psychiatric patients who decide to conduct a revolution to run away from torture and humiliation they subject to inside psychiatric clinic looking for their freedom.

‘Loss’ play tackling the problems caused by terrorism in Mesopotamia will be displayed in Moez Street by the band of the Theatre Club in Babylon, Iraq, at 7:00 p.m.

‘The Forty rules of love’ performed by the band of Modern Theatre will also be among plays participating in the competition of the 10th Egyptian National Theatre Festival on El-Salam Theatre on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. It enshrines the values of tolerance and love among human beings.

The Egyptian National Theatre Festival aims to present one of the most successful performances to revive the Egyptian theatre scene. The 10th session is being held from July 13 to 27. Different kinds of theatres will be staged such as the Children’s Theatre and Universities’ theatres.
