Acclaimed Egyptian comedian Akram Hosny, Nesrine Amin and Samaa Ibrahim collaborate in "Baba Geh" series.

The comedy series which is scheduled to be screened in Ramadan 2024 is scripted by Wael Hamdy and directed by Khaled Marie.

Hosny's latest movie El Ameel Sefr was released in Egyptian cinemas on August 16th, 2023.

The animated poster of the movie features our unlikely protagonist, Agent Zero, parodying the pose of the well-known espionage icon 007 while looking disheveled and wearing a black suit that has seen better days and a smug smile.

Meanwhile, the supporting characters of the film — along with a chihuahua — are hanging from the ceiling with their wrists tied, indicating that Agent Zero’s friends may find themselves caught up in the collateral damage caused by the adventures of our adrenaline-seeking hero.

"El Ameel Sefr" revolves around a security guard who dreams of living a life of action and intrigue, much like James Bond, and constantly throws himself in harm’s way in an attempt to achieve that end.

Aside from Hosny, the film’s cast includes the iconic Bayoumi Fouad, Asma Abulyazeid, Moustafa Ghareeb, Monther Rayahnah, Fatima Al-Banawi—who is making her Egyptian cinematic debut— Fedra, Ismail Farghali, Ayman Elshewy, and Ayman Tema under the helm of Karim El-Adl and the penmanship of Wael Abdullah, with Loay Abdullah (Oscar Pictures) handling production. The film is also based on an idea pitched by Mohamed Sami.
