Egyptian Embassy in Tokyo celebrates “Egypt Air” new line

CAIRO – 11July 2017: Egyptian Embassy in Japan organized an event in Tokyo on Tuesday to support Egyptian Tourism. Egyptian Archeologist and former Minister of Antiquities Dr. Zahi Hawass gave a four hour lecture on the rich heritage of Egypt and major archeological discoveries of the country, including those in which he has participated.

With an audience of approximately 1,500 Japanese, the event was designed to promote tourism and stress that Egypt is in a state of stability, safety and security, as reported by Al-Masry Al-Youm.

Egyptian Ambassador in Japan Ismail Khairat said that the Egyptian- Japanese night was organized upon highest standards and included both Japanese and Egyptian bands with an Egyptian folklore dance presentation.

The event was organized to accompany the opening ceremony celebration of Egypt Air’s newest line opening in Japan on July 29, according to Akhbar el-Youm.
Egypt Air will be operating weekly direct flights from Cairo to Tokyo Narita Airport as of October 29. In a statement by Chairman of Egypt Air Sherif Ezzat he commented that the decision to operate these flights came after the renovation of Egypt Air’s fleet.
