CAIRO – 03 July 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a negative performance amid sideways trading Monday, hurt by the local sales.
The benchmark index EGX 30 decreased 0.42 percent to reach 13,431 points.
Also, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 went down 0.26 percent to end at 655 points, while the broader index EGX100 shed 0.28 percent to the level of 1,515 points.
Market capital lost LE 1 billion ($55 million), totaling LE 694 billion.
Foreign and Arab were net buyers with a total of LE 54 million and LE 6 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors sold by LE 60 million.
Total turnover reached LE 611 million, slightly up from LE 489 million achieved Sunday.
