Foreign currencies steady, Euro up in Wednesday transactions

CAIRO – 28 June 2017: The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar stabilized against the Egyptian pound in Wednesday morning’s banking transactions, while the euro slightly hiked.

Dollar exchange recorded an average buying rate of LE 18.043 and sold at LE 18.142 against the Egyptian pound.

The euro inched up to record an average of LE 22.86 for buying and LE 22.99, up from an average of LE 20.09 for buying and LE 20.21 for selling marked last week.

The Great British Pound (GBP) registered an average of LE 22.86 for buying and LE 22.99 for selling, according to Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) rates.

Arab currencies remained stable against the Egyptian pound as the Saudi Riyal marked LE 4.81 for buying and LE 4.83 for selling, and the Emirati Dirham recorded LE 4.91 for selling and LE 4.94 for buying.

The Kuwaiti dinar declined to LE 59.41 for buying and LE 59.75 for selling.
