CAIRO – 11 November 2018: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session in red, amid foreign selling, and market capitalization lost LE 4.85 billion.

The benchmark EGX30 dropped 1.18 percent, or 161.79 points, to close at 13,570.89 points.

The equally weighted index EGX50 lessened 0.55 percent, or 12.14 points, to reach 2,188.42 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 decreased 0.05 percent, or 0.38 points, reaching 702.44 points, and the broader index EGX100 inched down 0.23 percent, or 4.13 points, closing at 1,756.2 points.

Market capitalization lost LE 4.85 billion, recording LE 771.99 billion, compared to LE 776.84 billion in Thursday’s session.

The trading volume reached 214.97 million shares, traded through 22,066 transactions, with a turnover of LE 610.65 million.

Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 10.5 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 10.3 and LE 196,635, respectively.

Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 7.23 million and LE 2.9 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net buyers at LE 58.33 million.

Egyptian and foreign organizations sold at LE 48.02 million and LE 7.59 million, respectively, while Arab organizations bought at LE 7.43 million.

Global Telecom Holding, Assiut Islamic Trading, and Dice Sport & Casual Wear were top gainers of the session by 6.19 percent, 6.12 percent and 6.06 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, El Kahera Housing, Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad), and El-Nile Co. for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries were top losers of the session by 6.36 percent, 5.24 percent, and 5.06 percent, respectively.

The EGX ended Thursday’s session in green, as EGX30 hiked 0.86 percent, EGX50 inched up 0.28 percent, EGX70 increased 1.55 percent, and EGX100 rose 1.33 percent.
