CAIRO - 26 August 2018: Head of Livestock and Poultry Development Sector at the Agriculture Ministry Tarek Soliman stressed that the committee tasked with technical examination to the requests of importing and exporting fodder in the sector approved exporting rabbit feed to UAE.

The decision comes within the framework of directives given by Agriculture Minister Ezz Eldin Abu Steit to promote agricultural cooperation between Egypt and UAE.

The Agriculture Ministry is keen on upgrading the fodder industry via giving licenses to the fodder factories and making sure that international standards are applied besides checking the quality of the substances used in production.

In a statement on Sunday, Soliman said that Deputy Agriculture Minister for Animal Resources, Fisheries and Poultry Mona Mehrez follows up daily the measures taken to give licenses to fodder factories, adding that breeding rabbits is one of the most important industries in UAE.

UAE is keen on exporting the Egyptian fodder which is characterized by high quality, the statement read.
