CAIRO – 30 April 2017: Egypt has procured 237,000 tons of wheat from farmers since the start of its local harvest earlier this month, the supply ministry said on Sunday.

Egypt's supply minister said last week he expects to buy about 3.8 million tons from local farmers during the harvest, which runs through July.
